"All science is experiential; but all experience must be related back to and derives its validity from the conditions and context of consciousness in which it arises, i.e., the totality of our nature." (Dilthey 1988 p. 50)

This section discusses the social circumstances of the study. As the title indicates, the research is on the impact of heightened Autistic Traits upon a musical practice. Therefor this section explores the musical practice involved, including some history of my development as an artist and musician and a discography of recent works, along with a number of autoethnographical elements that indicate the way I feel about music and my way of musiking. Secondly the section explores the nature of Autistic Spectrum Disorders in general and Asperger's Syndrome in particular, with a focus on my own diagnosis and the traits that are "heightened". Both these sections are strongly linked with other posts in the document, as this context relates directly to Insights and Implications, and impacts Methodology strongly as well.
