Communication

How do we communicate with each other in the studio, or on the stage? Much of human understanding of each other occurs non-verbally, and uses multiple senses concurrently. However when you're a "one thing at a time" kind of person, you might miss things. Of course there are strategies one can employ to improve things, such as finding ways to use verbal language instead of body language, deliberately discussing the hidden meanings in lyrics or phrases and by being open about misunderstandings. This sections discusses the ways that communication difficulties have been uncovered by the study and some of the effects on myself and those around. The Black Pages indicate the surprises that were encountered and my reactions to them.
