Empathy

Empathy is a surprisingly poorly understood concept, despite being one of those things that musicians are constantly expected to demonstrate - on stage, in ensembles, in studios. What happens to the musician who's empathy is impaired? This section explores the concept of empathy in terms of cognitive and affective dimensions, in relation to musical situations.
