The Fat Controller

The Fat Controller of the brain is Executive Function, a set of abilities and processes that regulate other cognitive functions. In the following discussions you find issues related to physiology, Theory of Mind, cognitive function and aspects of perception. Because Executive Function is something of an umbrella term, related points such as Local Coherence, Empathy and Sensory Issues have their own sections. In all cases the relationships between music and mind are drawn. As in most of the Insights, there are a number of Black Pages, that give a personal view of what happens when the Fat Controller loses control.
